Mr Orwa Falah is a Consultant Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and Lead Clinician for the Scottish National Service for Aortic Arch, Thoracoabdominal and Suprarenal Aortic Aneurysms.
His clinical practice covers open and endovascular vascular surgery, complex aortic disease, carotid disease, peripheral arterial disease, vascular access and minimally invasive treatment for varicose veins.
Alongside his clinical work, Mr Falah is involved in surgical education, academic collaboration and international knowledge exchange. He is also Founder and Chair of the Edinburgh Aortic Summit, a specialist platform bringing together leaders in aortic surgery, endovascular intervention, imaging, genetics and multidisciplinary care.

Mr Falah founded and chairs the Edinburgh Aortic Summit, an international multidisciplinary meeting focused on complex aortic disease, aortic surgery, endovascular innovation and cardiovascular collaboration.
The inaugural summit hosted at the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, drew speakers and delegates from over 30 countries. Our sessions covered cutting-edge topics including thoracoabdominal aneurysm surgery, aortic arch pathology, endovascular innovations, and national service models.
The Edinburgh Aortic Summit will continue to advance the global conversation around complex aortic care, setting a benchmark for academic excellence and international collaboration in the field.
